Trial/Temporary Members/Visitors

Trial Members, Temporary Members and Visitors are wolves that are granted permission to reside in the pack area for a short period of time to fufill their request. Trial members are expected to familiarize themselves with their surroundings and prove themselves to the Alpha in what rank they would be assigned. They are supposed to prove their trust towards the pack and earn a spot in the pack to become a permanent member. This goes for temporary members aswell, whom may be assigned a rank to practice for before given a position permanently. Visitors are allowed in the pack lands for the amount of time given, and are not expected to fufill challenges or ranks. They are required to leave and cannot eat any of the pack food unless granted permission. Visitors are not permanent members and will not be treated like one.

Pups

Pups are under one year of age and have no rank given in Sera. They require no duties and are often known to be close to their mother or baby sitter. Pups have no responsibilites and will be experiencing and learning from parents before assigned an apprentice rank on their first birthday.

Elders

Elders are wolves that reach age 7+ and depending on their condition, may either have a specific duty or may be put to retirement. Elders are known to be very wise and skilled in their element, and depending on each specific Elder some may be known to continue their duty in their previous rank while others will retire and spend their time telling stories to younger wolves, spending time with family, and sleeping. If an Elder reaches 9 years of age they will be forced to retirement due to age.

Apprentices

When pups reach the age of one, they will be assigned to be trained by a higher ranked wolf, where they will endure many sessions and tests until they are skilled in a certain area and can be promoted to their future permanent rank. Apprentices are typically known to stay an apprentice until they reach the age of two when they step into adulthood. An apprentice can be changed in different types of training and can be trained in different area's until they are faced with the rank that the Alpha feels will hold a good future. Sometimes apprentices will be an older wolf, but unskilled in a certain area and needs to be further trained. This is uncommon, but still possible.

Hunters

Hunters are the main providers of food, essential to a pack. Their duties include but are not limited too hunting, gathering food, and joining in group hunts to obtain a larger kill. Hunters are expected to provide food for the pack before themselves and don't eat until all higher ranks have been fed. Hunters require permission to leave the pack to hunt, unless otherwise instructed by the head hunter.

Warriors

Warriors are the main protection of the pack. Warriors are expected to constantly brawl and train to become stronger and a protector to the lands. Warriors should respond to calls from unknown wolves and should mark territory and supervise the pack. Warriors should get together and train constantly, while providing safety to the Alpha's family and the entire pack. When they aren't training or protecting, Warriors are known to go through checks around the land to ensure no one is sneaking around or causing ruckus. Warriors need permission to leave the land unless otherwise instructed by the head warrior.

Healers

Healers are expected to be on top of their guard, going above and beyond to save other wolves lives and keep them healthy. Healers are expected to provide check ups to all wolves frequently, along with supplying nutrients to pups to help them grow strong. Healers should be familiar with herbs or other techniques of healing and need permission from the Alpha to leave the pack at any time. Most packs obtain one healer, but in some cases there can be two or three healers at once. Healers typically shouldn't be looking for a mate and should be focused on their job. If they do have a mate and family, they are still required to fufill all duties while putting others first before family in crucial situations.

Head Ranks

Head Ranks are higher ranks that are known to be more trustworthy, skilled in their element and loyal to their pack. A Head Ranked wolf can assign tasks to lower ranks and can order a gathering of a certain task. Head Ranks may give permission to lower ranks to leave the pack, with or without their assistance, but they must have granted permission from the Alpha first. Head ranks are still expected to fufill both this rank, and the rank below them and requires a lot of effort and diligence.

Betas

Typically a pack will only have one or two Betas, whom assist the Alpha in tasks such as recruiting new members, supplying answers for questions and assisting other ranks in hunting, fighting, or even healing. Beta's should be a master of most talents and should be able to assist the Alpha in anything needed. Their say goes, unless otherwise changed by the Alpha. Beta's do not need permission to leave the pack, and can give permission to others to leave if the Alpha is not avaliable.

Alphas

The Alpha's of a pack are not only strong, diligent and trustworthy, but they are organized, fair and dominant. Alpha's spend their time running the pack, answering questions, assigning ranks and choosing each fate for each wolf. Alpha's are in charge of who's in the pack, and who's not. Alpha's are the supplyer to all answers and are the leaders of the pack. Anything they say goes, and there should be no questions about it. Lower ranks require permission from Alpha's. Alpha's may leave the pack whenever they wish. Typically, two mates will be the Alphas, but anything is possbile: Siblings, Friends, and even partners.
